Wooden Toys For Littles

I’ve always been drawn to more natural and neutral colors in our home while adding little accents of color. And when it comes to picking out toys for Henry, I’ve found I do the same. Wooden toys are some of my favorite and he seems to enjoy them also. I like that wooden toys usually require the child to expand their imagination as they get older. For now, Henry enjoys chewing on them.

We received this personalized wooden deer teether as a gift at our baby shower, and it has provided hours of entertainment for Henry. We recently visited Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, and if you’ve been there, you know it takes a while to go through the whole store and see everything. Henry rode along in his stroller and chewed on this the whole time. And of course, it makes a great baby shower gift!

This wooden Noah’s Ark toy was in Henrys first Easter basket this year. I like how one side of the ark has the animal shapes on it like a shape sorter. The little door also opens and closes, which Henry has recently figured out and enjoys!

Growing up, I had so much fun any time there was a play kitchen around. The possibilities seem endless! We plan on getting one for Henry when he’s a bit older. I really like the look of this wooden white retro play kitchen with gold accents.

Here are some other great ideas for wooden toys that build imagination.
